What’s up everybody. A couple days ago me ad my wife had a small argument about a reoccurring situation and I know it’s just me. But in her words, “with everything you get, get an understanding.” Understanding is the one thing we and many incarcerated families do not have. Paranoia that is something that is going to come when dealing with an incarcerated relationship rather it’s a couple or family members. We start to believe we’re helpless and people are not really for us. It’s not intentional to hurt you at all. It becomes unconscious and lack of trust. The closest example I can give free world people is close your eyes and try to trust the world. I mean that literally. Close your eyes and see how much you will be able to trust. Living like a blind person is what we deal with. It’s so hard to believe what we can’t see when what we see is so much negativity. Not speaking of outside families, but inside the walls. This life, a lot of times affect both lives. So for me and all incarcerated, husbands, brothers, sons, dads, etc we’re sorry for making you feel like suspects.

I can honestly say I agree trust is seriously tested while a loved one is incarcerated for both the loved ones on the outside as well as the loved ones incarcerated. Time and distance do have an effect on the mind. However, knowing who you trust, and love makes all the difference. Love and Strength comes from the ones that truly love you so if you surround yourself around them individuals that only wish to nourish you then easily you can close your eyes and allow them to guide you.

It's good you have your wife. I'm sure she's been a source of strength for you in some really tough times. No one can ever be appreciated too much. 😉
